For more than 20 years, Fujitsu’s thermal printers have earnt them a name as one of the major thermal printer manufacturers in the global marketplace. Their thermal printers are used in many day to day applications, especially in self-service applications like point-of-sale terminals. Built with high quality die cast frames which ensure durability and high speed stable printing, the printers come in a range of sizes, from two to five inch.
 
Fujitsu Components Europe has recently released its new FTP-63A thermal printer, which is their newest thermal printer to be added to their product line. It has the ability to handle thick paper, but is at the same time built in a very compact size, which makes it well-suited for use in kiosks where space is always at a premium and there is a need for the kiosk to leave the smallest footprint, such as in retail outlets. The printer should be installed horizontally, and is designed with rear and bottom paper insertion capability. It has a high printing speed of 250 millimetres per second and comes with a heavy duty rotary jam free cutter installed.
 
With its ability to handle thick paper, its compact size and a high printing speed the FTP-63A printer has been especially manufactured for ticketing and labeling applications, such as those within self-service environments.This printer unit is most suitable for applications such as point-ofsale, ATM and receipt and ticket issuing printers.
