Personalised Loyalty Software

Yours Faithfully

Big retail organisations’ loyalty and reward policies generally target the ordinary, ‘average’ consumer, but the necessity and reality is that now a much more targeted and personalised view must be taken – which is where Arius’s  extended Asoft solution comes in. Information about how customers use their loyalty rewards, and how this influences further spending, is contained in a database.

Information analysis tools that correlate payment transaction data with loyalty data assist human staff in organising their marketing and sales activities. Multi purpose kiosk devices can be used both for payment and loyalty, in a number of ways. Based on the selected payment infrastructure, on one device it is possible to provide bill payment by any payment card, including co-branded ones issued by the retail organisation. Also airtime top-up for mobile pre-paid accounts or bill payment for post-paid accounts can be offered to kiosk users.

Kiosks running Asoft can also facilitate communication between the retail organisation and its ‘loyal’ customer. Customers can enrol for loyalty-affinity programmes provided by the retailer, and customers can, at any time, view their loyalty status, i.e. loyalty points and rewards, and how they can be redeemed.

The extended Asoft solution integrates the Asoft kiosk solution (basically its management and payment components) with Asoft back office solutions, and also easily integrates with BRO’s Retail system. The components of the system are: AsoftCMSRetail, a card management system for different loyalty and affinity cards, with or without payment capability; AsoftLoyalty, a  system that implements the rewards policy; and AsoftKiosk, a management system that controls and signals network operations in real time, monitors the operation of each device and its components, routes transactions to external  authorisation systems, adjusts message formats according to protocol requirements, observes fraudulent activities, provides software delivery and many other maintenance activities.

System architecture is based on multi-tier web applications built on J2EE technology and IBM middleware platform, IBM WebSphere Application Server and IBM DB2 UDB.
