Versione stampabileRental car giant Avis Europe will be making life for customers easier with a new fully managed transaction management service from Ingenico. Their platform helpdesk and hardware maintenance package will be rolled out across Europe in over 1,000 locations. With this in place, Avis will become the first European car rental company to use a fully PCI DSS compliant chip and Pin solution.
The package includes 3,000 iCT250 chip and Pin terminals with transaction management via the Axis platform which supports over 80,000 active lanes and 1.6 billion European transactions every year. Axis centralises transaction management for large businesses, helping control costs and provide end-to-end security and compliance with all international payment regulations and standards.
The five year initial contract with Avis will begin in early 2012 and as well as providing increased security will make the rental process faster and smoother for customers.
