Preview: CeBIT 2010
Parallel Dimensions
Intelligent home networks will be showcased in the Connected Worlds area, exploring the convergence of individual technologies and the integration of international markets and applications. The Connected Living Association will demonstrate how different devices can be connected via software-based digital assistants, with the goal of creating a home network that allows the integration and control of different electronic appliances, independent of manufacturer.
This year, Planet Reseller will move to halls 14/15, and will also have an integrated conference centre for workshops and training sessions. Invidis Consulting will present market analyses for retailers, and is holding workshops about digital signage in this area.
At the AutoID/RFID Solutions Park in Hall 6, visitors will see examples of labelling and identification technologies developed for use in specific sectors of industry.
As topic areas such as card technology, biometrics and video surveillance are of equal interest to banking and security professionals, the CeBIT Security World and Banking & Finance World displays will now be placed together in Hall 11.
Another addition to CeBIT for this year is the ‘Next Level 3D’ presentation in Hall 15, which explores the possibilities of stereoscopic 3D. Here visitors will find stereoscopic hardware and software solutions for cinema, home and office applications. The presentation is aimed at the surprising number of sectors that make use of 3D technologies, including a focus on the marketing of 3D-enabled information and content at the point of sale.
CeBIT 2010 takes place from the 2nd of March to the 6th March in Hannover, Germany.
