The requirements for a stationary kiosk are quite well-known nowadays – efficiency, cost-performance ratio, configurability in terms of payment methods, and customisation. Skeye have added a new member to their family: the skeye.vision touch information kiosk that combines high performance hardware with a flexible configuration. The basic unit consists of a high resolution 19” touchscreen and speakers which facilitate multi-media applications.

The skeye.vision touch can be customised so that it can be used to train employees; the addition of an RFID reader means staff can identify themselves to gain access to corporate documents. Headphones can also be added to facilitate individual training. With the addition of a laser scanner, the kiosk can be used as a price checker for customers. This information kiosk can also double up as a payment terminal with the addition of a card reader, receipt printer and laser scanner, or as a separate ordering terminal.

Skeye offers retailers a full selfservice solution with both self-scanning and self-checkout facilities. The new Skeye.vision touch complements these products by offering itself as a dispenser station for self-scanners, located at the entrance and exit to a supermarket. The customer can use a customer card to log in at the kiosk and would then be allocated a self-scanner, which would be returned at the end of the trip. The sum total for the scanned goods can be transmitted to the self-payment terminal by a WLAN or USB interface.

The skeye.vision touch is highly versatile and can be integrated in a wide variety of project environments.
