New Low Power APU T16R

Kontron has introduced a low-energy and cost-effective version of its ETX 3.0 Computer-on- Module ETX-OH. The new ETX 3.0-compliant Kontron ETX-OH T16R uses the new AMD Embedded G-Series APU T16R, which has an extremely low average power consumption of only 2.3 Watts. While operating at the same power consumption level as the AMD Geode-LX-based solutions, it delivers up to three times the level of performance. The Kontron ETX-OH T16R, with native PCI and ISA support, provides the ideal upgrade path for AMD Geode-based ETX designs and low-power systems with discontinued ETX modules.

Lasting Impressions

With the launch of the new conga-EAF Computer-on-Module (COM), congatec is aiming to guarantee a sustainable future and broad scalability for the ETX standard. With a choice of seven AMD G-Series processors, the new product is also designed to offer an excellent price/performance ratio.
