New kiosk brings public services to the people
The kiosks were designed by Ultimedia and are intended primarily to help residents of rural areas to communicate with their local authority, and “bring people and public services together”.
The company has been working on its SVP (Service Visio Public) process, a new communication solution, since 2002. The SVP provides a means of communication between the public and the local administration. The technology in the kiosk provides an audio and video link, and also allows for the editing and exchange of documents in real time. The kiosk also provides assistance for customers who are filling in forms. All this is done through secure access to the internet.
A new design with new features has just been revealed. This model is being deployed in all the courts in France by the French Ministry of Justice.
Ultimedia was the first company to produce video conference call kiosks which could also perform document exchange. Since 2002, It has been acknowledged twice for its competence in the Adele 104 (a French state programme which looks at electronic administration).
