KIOSK LONDON EXPO 2011 - the UK’s only dedicated self-service event, last week enjoyed two days of intense action, that saw the United Kingdom’s and some of Europe’s premier buyers of self-service solutions and technology attend in droves.

Buyers came from far and wide to attend the exhibition from large retailers such as Tesco, Arcadia Group and IKEA right through to banking, transport and leisure sectors including Post Office, Lloyds Bank and BAA.
 
The event also hosted the EAFS (European Association For Self Service) Annual awards, awarding some of the industry’s major players for Design, Innovation and Best e-Government Project. Winners included 10 Squared, FG Elektronik and Kiosk Innova.
 
The show took place on 19 and 20 October at London’s Barbican Exhibition Centre, in the heart of the City where the first ATM in the world began dispensing cash in the 1960s.
 

Event Director Ian Titchener said “We are thrilled with the response the event has received, all of our exhibitors were excited with the quality and quantity of their leads, and in fact over 50% of the exhibitors have already re-booked their booths for next year.”

Next year’s event will be held on the 17th and 18th of October at London’s Barbican Exhibition Centre and will include many more exhibitors, Forum talks and other exciting events including the 2012 EAFS Awards.
