Hetec has launched a new version of its V-Switch which enable up to four screens to be simultaneously adminstrated from one computer.
Hetec Datensysteme GmbH has launched a new version of its high-end V-Switch quad KVM switch, which boasts multi-viewing functionality and is the only hardware in the world to allow the user to administrate up to four computers simultaneously with a single display, keyboard, and mouse, or with a single touch screen. Version 2.0 of the V-Switch quad now includes ‘Fade-Through-Black-Functionality,’ which, when activated, smoothly switches between the four video sources for seamless visualisation in presentations. All four display modes – Quad, PiP, Dual and Fullscreen – can also be switched in the same manner.
The V-Switch quad supports up to four digital DVI input sources with resolutions up to 1920x1200, including full HD, plus analogue VGA inputs with up to 1600x1200 pixels, or any combination of four digital and analogue input signals. The same applies to the output to the display, as any combination of different resolutions and aspect ratios are supported at both inputs and output. Any type of media player and computer can be used as an input source, as the V-Switch quad is compatible with all computer models and operating systems. Any digital or analogue displays can be connected, including monitors, LCD TVs, rear-projection cubes, projectors, large-scale full HD displays and touch screens. The V-Switch quad can also be used as a video scaler and converter. According to Hetec, the unit offers much higher functionality than might be expected for its price.
