Shenzhen Zhengtong Electronics (SZZT) has launched their new ZT596E encrypting PIN Pad, a high quality stainless steel keyboard for automatic teller machines and self-service terminals. The ZT596E is PCI approved and complies to all international security requirements. It supports DES and triple DES encrypting algorithms, works with a master key and session key, and is designed according to ISO13491, ISO9564, IBM3624, ANSI X9.8, ANSI X9.9 and ANSI X9.19 standards.
 
Its anti-vandalism features are all made from high quality stainless steel, for use in any outdoor or indoor application. USB or RS232 interface is supplied as standard, and other options are available on request.The 16 keys are labelled with etched engraving lettering, the keys come engraved with green, red or yellow lettering, and further colour customisation can be accommodated according to specific requirements.The ZT596E has been designed to be user-friendly for the partially sighted, with a raised braille dot on the Number 5 key. Braille letters can also be applied on other keys, if necessary. Extended function keypads with additional 4-key right and left bars are also offered for use in kiosks and ATM terminals.
The keypad is watertight, and sensitive data can be maintained by a battery back-up of up to an impressive five years while mains power is turned off.
 
SZZT also offers various other metallic encrypting PIN Pads (including their ZT588 Visa Approved PED), keypads and keyboards in a wide range of specifications and formats particularly suitable for kiosk and ATM use.
