IGE 2010: Elo to Show Touch Solutions
Their new technology has achieved the “Compatible with Windows 7” logo. IntelliTouch Plus surface acoustic wave touch technology expands Elo TouchSystems’ portfolio by giving OEMs, application developers and customers new tools to leverage the advantages of the Windows 7 touch interface.
The new Elo TouchSystems IntelliTouch Plus touch technology has met all the Additional Qualification (AQ) testing requirements established by Microsoft for Windows 7 multi touch interactivity. IntelliTouch Plus touch technology is based upon proven surface acoustic wave technology with over 20 years of reliable performance. It accurately records two simultaneous touch locations anywhere on the screen with three axes of touch information.
Elo will also be featuring its newest touch technology ideal for sport betting where pens are sometimes preferred to activate the touchscreen. All-glass acoustic pulse recognition (APR) touch technology uniquely supports pens, fingernails and credit cards in addition to normal touch input, unlike capacitive and surface acoustic wave technology and without the plastic layer of resistive technology.
Also on show will be the new 1919L widescreen touchmonitor offering an 18.5in diagonal 16:9 aspect ratio display. The 1919L with APR offers a robust touch solution as described for sport betting. Its pure glass construction provides superior optical performance with scratch and mark resistance to pens. Its stylish “zero-bezel” flat glass surface to the edges also ensures an easy-to-clean screen unlike typical touchmonitors with bezels.
