At the beginning of the year, JCM, one of the largest bill acceptor suppliers, launched their new Vega bill acceptor and Vega-RC bill recycler. Since then, JCM has received very positive feedback from both manufacturers and suppliers, who have found it a very useful product for the kiosk industry.
 
The Vega bill acceptor was specifically designed for AWP and payment terminals. Equipped with the very latest technology, it can be used in a wide variety of applications. The combination of bill acceptor with an optional recycling unit makes it a particularly attractive product because of the huge cost savings better cash management can bring about. This recycling unit has storage for any number of banknotes up to 30 notes, and allows one denomination to be recycled in less than two seconds. This unit can be conveniently mounted on top of the bill acceptor.
 
Where cash is concerned, security is of course of utmost importance. The Vega is equipped with high-precision sensor technology that assures the highest acceptance rate and the most secure bill validation. Special optical sensors and a flapper mechanism rule out the possibility of banknote stringing or fraudulent activities.
 
The software download for this can be carried out through the USB port in only one minute. Interfaces such as serial, parallel, pulse, MDB and ccTalk protocol are all incorporated in the software.
 
The Vega bill acceptor has a lockable and removable security cash box, with either 300 or 1,000 note capacity, which can also be sealed and is therefore suitable for money collection by a third person or cash-intransit company.
 
The unit can operate between 0oC and 50oC, weighs approximately 2kg and is available in chassis-mounted horizontal type or door-mounted stacker down or stacker up types, which allow access from the rear or the front, enabling installation in almost all kinds of terminals.
