Swecoin, the leading Swedish printer manufacturer, has announced the launch of their innovative TTP 2000 kiosk printer, which the company claims will bring state-of-the-art reliability to the compact printer market.

With a range of new features to boost reliability and performance, the TTP 2000 has been designed to be the most compact printer of its kind. Its versatility, small size and choice of horizontal or vertical mounting allows it to be incorporated into the narrowest and most demanding applications, without sacrificing durability and function range.

Fully equipped with standard Swecoin features, such as a patented looping presenter, guillotine cutter, programmable retract function and fast print speed, the TTP 2000 also boasts new enhancements like as an automatic pull-detector, which delivers a perfect printout even when an impatient customer pulls on the paper as it is being printed. The TTP 2000 prints on paper widths from 58 mm up to 82.5 mm, is lower than 70 mm and fits on 1/4 of an A4 page.

“Every improvement in reliability is cash in the hand for our customers”, says Swecoin Technical Support Manager Staffan Fällström, “traditional kiosk technologies, such as the presenter holding the receipt until cut, and the retract & retain function, are spreading into an increasing number of industries. Simple reliability features have already made their way into the market for compact size printers, but truly dependable printers have traditionally been large both in volume and price. The TTP 2000 is changing all this, introducing top-ofthe- line reliability at a greatly reduced scale.”

“The days when you could blame most kiosk downtime on the printer are gone”, says Mr. Fällström, “as long as you choose the right printer for your application. The new TTP 2000 is a real breakthrough, combining the highest reliability on the market with a compact volume and price level that will let new and existing market segments incorporate the very best of today’s printing technology.”
