Crane Payment Solutions’ PayLink USB integration module allows for easy integration to PC platforms, flexibility of peripherals and quick and simple software downloads. PayLink connects to a PC using a single USB point and allows credit handling, audit information, error checking and diagnostics. The Application Programming Interface (API) allows for integration of payment peripherals into a self-service terminal.
 

PayLink is intended to help reduce the time to market for PC-based platforms. As well as using the solution for acceptance and payout of real money, it can be used as part of more sophisticated cash management systems, such as coin routing to cash box or hopper, inhibiting of certain coins and notes, detecting of security switches, writing to a serial meter, or managing peripheral errors.
 
The product is expected to be valued across both the retail and gaming industry. Mike Fox, a Developer at Psiclone Games, said, “We find using Paylink a breeze. It handles any form of cash input or output device we have ever needed, as well as the ancillary items such as SEC meters. The API does all the work for us and we have yet to find a competitor product where development times are anywhere near as quick.”
