DS Keyboard Changes Name

At the beginning of 2009, the former Managing Director and shareholder of DS Keyboard Technic, Mr. Gerhard Dekorsy, decided to take his well-deserved retirement. Numerous discussions were then held by Mr. Dekorsy and his employees with potential partners to find a solution for a promising future for the business.
 
At the end of summer 2009, DS Keyboard Technic made the decision to partner with Printec. Printec is a company that operates worldwide in membrane keyboards and industrial/ customised operating panels.
 
In the middle of October, Mr. Dekorsy assigned his shares to three new shareholders: the acting Managing Director, Mr. Rolf Zimmermann, the investment company of Mr. Michael Holeczek (the former shareholder and Managing Director from Rafi) and Printec Europe in Italy.
With this partnership, DS Keyboard Technic has now changed into Printec-DS Keyboard GmbH. In the future Printec-DS Keyboard is, as the European headquarter in Radolfzell, Germany, responsible for the whole of the European Printec business. The Managing Director of Printec-DS Keyboard is now Mr. Rolf Zimmermann.
 
The company will be able to offer new opportunities to their customers from the synergies between the products of the two companies. The company is therefore now a contact partner for their customers for sophisticated control panels and data entry systems including the associated housing technology. Printec-DS Keyboard looks forward to new and interesting projects.
 
At the same time as this partnership was formed in October, Mr. Rolf Zimmermann celebrated his 25th anniversary with DS Keyboard. The event (1st October 2009) was celebrated in a relaxed atmosphere together with the employees of the company.
 
We asked him to describe his career in his own words: “It all started with a short and laconic job advertisement from the company DS Keyboard Technic, which was at that time completely unknown. It read: ‘electronics technician for keyboard manufacturing required’. I was at that time in search for a new challenge, so I sent in an application.
 
That was over twenty-five years ago now, and during those years DS Keyboard Technic has gained an established position amongst keyboard manufacturers worldwide. It makes me proud that I helped to achieve this.
 
Together with the founder, and excellent engineer and designer, Mr. Gerhard Dekorsy, we have developed in house numerous keyboard systems and brought them to the market.
 
The direct contact with customers and the friendly relationship with our competitors have always brought me a lot of joy: I think we consider ourselves as a large family, of whom every member has its place.
 
To anyone that is entrepreneurially active, it should be clear that in 25 years everything did not always run smoothly. However, I can say that the positives always prevailed.
 
At this time, I would like to thank all of my employees for the excellent cooperation that has existed for many years. We make a good team!
 
For the future, I see many new opportunities through the merger to Printec-DS Keyboard, and I will give my best as always to take the company forward with solid growth.”
