Ask new contactless USB card reader
Ask has announced the availability of LoGO, their new contactless USB reader for home or desk usage. LoGO is a high performance, attractive and low cost reader for any application that requires smart card transactions in a contactless environment.

Ask experience in readers’ design has anticipated the market requirements for online home reloading. While companies such as Paris transport company RATP launch Navigo pass online reloading, other operators wish to offer their customers a cost effective and user friendly USB reader at home. End users can perform various transactions for their transport or multi-application card at their desk in a hassle free atmosphere, in a quick and easy way.

The scope of LoGO applications is, though, much wider and includes banking and loyalty transactions, e-document reading and logical access control.

“Contactless technology is part of our daily life where mobility is the main feature of our century. LoGO fits perfectly this new way of life, says Marcos Reichert, Ask Terminals Business Line Manager. LoGO is also the right device to meet clients’ requirements for a reloading cost effective and short term solution. We designed it to be cost effective without compromising on the performance.”

This will be on show at Cartes 2009.
