MEI Celebrates Milestone
A Million in Cash
“This accomplishment is a reflection of our customers’ loyalty and success,” said Mike Hayes, CEO of MEI.
The model is currently in use in slot machines, smart safes, self-checkout terminals and kiosks around the world, and developers say that enhancements made to their product over the past eight years have made it increasingly flexible for a number of applications, allowing it to become more integrated into cash management solutions.
Among these enhancements is a bunch note feeder which allows retailers to place a bundle of up to 30 notes into the machine, and leaves users free to handle other tasks instead of feeding individual notes. And Easitrax Soft Count expands the reach of the unit from the slot floor to the soft count room. Performance and accounting data is placed into a database that can be networked to multiple locations by an integrated software/hardware solution. Designers say this has created newfound efficiencies in cash drop processes worldwide. Then multiple cashbox options allow customers to select the right model based on note volume. Models for up to 900 notes, up to 1,200 notes and up to 2,200 notes (available soon) will offer different solutions, depending on application needs.
The company has further plans to expand the capabilities associated with Cashflow SC, and the features of the next generation product, targeted for release in 2011, have recently been announced.
In a series of further milestones, MEI has also celebrated the production of its three millionth Series 2000 bill validator and one millionth Cashflow 7000 coin manager in the vending industry.
