Here is a taster of some of our prestigious speakers at this year’s Open Forum:
Name: Björn Weber Company: PlanetRetail, Germany
Abstract: Self-service and channel blurring in retail: How smart phones and tablets change the game

Björn has been specialising in retail technology, supply chain and collaboration between trading partners (ECR) for more than 11 years. He is a regular speaker at international industry conferences and regularly contributes to print and broadcast media. Under his leadership, Planet Retail developed a unique advisory service and insight repository on the technology deployment of the world’s major retail organisations.
Before he joined Planet Retail in March 2007, Björn worked as an editor for Lebensmittel Zeitung, the leading newspaper covering the retail and CPG industry in German language. In 2003, he was awarded with the Karl Theodor Vogel Prize for outstanding technology reports. Before joining Lebensmittel Zeitung in 2000, Björn was an editor at Kompart Verlagsgesellschaft producing management journals. Björn is a graduate sociologist from J W Goethe University in Frankfurt an Main, where he studied social science, jurisprudence and education.

Bert Martin Ohnemueller is a visionary and expert of sales development. As a veteran PoS expert, he recognized the key that is neuromerchandising, and stands firmly in the position between method and implementation, unlocking the potentional of this unique tool.

Abstract: NCR Digital Signage and kiosk Solutions – from the first idea to final roll out

After his academic studies of mechanical engineering at the University of Aachen, he worked over 10 years for the BMW Group within the internal education department. There he worked as a consultant and project manager for the implementation of eLearning and video conferencing tools, as change manager for several major software rollouts and as consultant for ergonomic interface design of software. In 2008 he joined the consulting company Sovato to work as a technology expert and trendscout for new innovations within the retail area for POS and POI concepts.
Name: Paul Chojecki Company: Fraunhofer HHI
Abstract: Chances and challenges of contact free – touch less interaction for OOH
Date/Time: Wednesday 13 June – 10.00 – 10.30
Paul Chojecki received his diploma degree in psychology in 2006 and joined the Interactive Media - Human Factors Department at Fraunhofer HHI in the same year. Since 2007 his research and projects are focused on gesture controlled human-computer interaction. He managed R&D projects for international clients in various areas including medical, interactive exhibitions, digital out-of-home media and automotive. Paul is an expert in human factors, usability testing, innovation management and R&D marketing. Since 2011 Paul Chojecki manages the business segment for contact-free interaction at the Fraunhofer HHI.

Abstract: Hamberg Sparkassee – Touchscreen as an instrument of information

An experienced marketing manager specialising in advertising and design; Jessica has worked in sales and marketing with various companies over the years. Following her internships in event management, festival and exhibition organisation and an apprenticeship in marketing communications for an advertising and design agency, she went on to study sales and marketing in Hamburg. After gaining experience in sales and marketing, she moved into her current role as marketing manager at komma,tec redaction GmbH.
