Wincor Nixdorf pay tower
Wincor Nixdorf has expanded its portfolio of checkout automation solutions to improve customer acceptance and cost-effectiveness. The company now addresses the whole range of checkout solutions, from traditional POS to a variety of self-service scenarios, on a uniform platform of hardware, software and services.

The POS Tower 150RC is a self-checkout system for small stores with limited space for such solutions; the space required is reduced by around 30%. New ergonomic features include the move of the security scale to the same side as the shelf where the shopping basket is placed, so that shoppers can put their basket on on side, scan their items and pack them into a bag located on the other side.

A concept for the integration of cash recycling modules in checkout desks and counters is also being premiered here today, as well as new solutions for mobile shopping, both in terms of software and the actual mobile devices.
