Europe's Leading Digital Signage Exhibition
DIGITAL SIGNAGE EXPO 2009, organised via an exclusive partnership with POPAI, the global association for marketing at retail, will bring together participants and players from the digital signage industry worldwide. The show will take place at Messe Essen, Essen, Germany, from 5th – 7th May 2009, co-located with KIOSK EUROPE EXPO 2009.
DIGITAL SIGNAGE EXPO 2009 is Europe’s leading trade showcase for digital signage solutions and technologies, for all vertical markets. All the top sellers, servicers and buyers in the business are expected to attend. A main focus of this year’s show will be on improving mass customer and corporate communications to offer the best possible degree of customer choice and satisfaction, while doing so efficiently, both in terms of time and cost, utilising new solutions like audience measurement tools.
The other key focus of DIGITAL SIGNAGE EXPO 2009 will be on the development of interactivity and digital signage, from touchscreens panels which encourage the audience to engage with the content to augmented reality-enhanced digital signage which brings products in a box to life. Experts in digital signage are all agreed that the future of digital signage lies in interactivity. For instance, Roeland Scholten, Commercial Director of LG’s B2B Group, is convinced “we will definitely see digital signage becoming more and more interactive, not just in its own right as touch screens become more predominant, but also through the addition of kiosks to digital signage installations.” As DIGITAL SIGNAGE EXPO 2009 is co-located with KIOSK EUROPE EXPO 2009, the world’s leading show on interactivity, visitors can find out all about how interactive digital signage makes for a more impactful and engaging means of communication as well as about the synergies between these two technologies.
Exhibitors will be demonstrating and showcasing a whole variety of different digital signage solutions and applications, from complete turnkey digital signage providers to all kinds of screens, touch screens, projectors, embedded components, audience measurement tools and software, for the whole spectrum of different vertical market applications. The latest innovations in interactivity, audience measurement and screen technologies will be shown, with a high number of major product launches planned for this event.
The Forum this year will focus on how to deliver value to your customer as well as to your business, as well as seeing case studies about high profile interactive installations in every application from retail outlets to museums, showrooms and local government, providing attendees with the opportunity to learn about all aspects of a digital signage project. Interactive digital signage installations at the new Miele Inspirience Centre will be presented, as well as how retailers are continuing to bring digital signage in-store.
At the Futures Parlour, visitors can find some of the latest research developments affecting this industry. A special topic to be exhibited will be the development of augmented reality enhanced digital signage. Augmented reality is one of the newest means of promoting interaction, engaging the customer and bringing products in a box to life. Augmented reality is one of the ways in which future self-service, and digital signage, solutions could be even more interactive and visually impactful. New for this year, POPAI will be giving awards for the best digital signage solutions in the categories of: Content and Creativity, Technology and Sustainability, Best DS Solution, Best Interactive Solution and Best Digital Signage Research. All contenders will be demonstrated live at the show for visitors to appreciate.
In a move towards more responsible exhibition organisation, all the carbon emission from visitors’ travel to the show has been offset by the organisers of KIOSK EUROPE EXPO 2009.
Last year saw over 170 exhibitors and over 3,300 unique visitors from countries all over the globe, a 30% growth on the previous year, and this year looks set to continue this growth.
DIGITAL SIGNAGE EXPO 2009 is open from 9-17.00 on the 5,6 and 7th May 2009. Sign up for free at www.digitalsignageexpo.eu before the 5th April or pay €68 on the door.
