Outdoor Citizen Kiosk

Following a request from Prague’s public administration, Power Products has released a new rugged outdoor kiosk to publish documents which legally must be accessible to citizens 24/7.
 
As the number of documents in European administration is increasing, it is more and more difficult to display them all on one paper bulletin board. Power’s digital bulletin board is fully interactive and can be used to browse previously published documents or tailored to only display documents of interest to the specific user interacting at the kiosk. The Prague authorities have installed 16 of these interactive boards in their new municipal building.
 
The interactive bulletin board is managed and updated online from an authority server. The display area contains four 22” high-brightness touch screen LCDs in portrait orientation. Each display shows a full, high-resolution A4 page with navigation bars.
 
The front panel is 8mm vandal-proof glass with a projective capacitive touch screen underneath it. Temperatures inside the kiosk are thermostatically controlled: a fan prevents overheating whilst a heater allows the computer to operate in very low temperatures and prevents water condensation. The anti-corrosion kiosk chassis is made from premium materials such as aluminium and stainless steel.
