Orient's POS&Hospitality Printers

Orient Technologies b.v. is based in The Netherlands and is a subsidiary of the Chinese company SNBC (also known as ‘Beiyang’). SNBC is the world’s largest non-Japanese manufacturer of thermal print-heads, and is also the largest supplier of printers in China. All Orient printers available in Europe have been codeveloped with SNBC, and all, along with their spare parts, are kept in stock in their Dutch warehouse. Orient offers an extensive range of printers for POS, hospitality and kiosk applications.

Orient serves as a one-stop-shop for many hardware resellers active in the POS and hospitality markets. All POS and hospitality printers have easy paper-loading capability and the range consists of: the BTP-2002NP – a high-speed (200 mm/s) thermal retail printer; the BTP-R580 – a high-speed (230 mm/s) thermal printer (intrinsic spill proof); the BTP-M280B – a high-speed (4.7-6 lps) two-color matrix printer; the BTP-M280A – a highspeed (4.7-6 lps) two-color matrix printer with re-winder; and the BTP-M180 – a low cost, twocolor matrix printer (4.2 lps).
 
All printers share the same interfaces (serial, parallel, USB, Ethernet and  WLAN ‘daughter boards’), accessories (e.g. Herald kitchen alarm), drivers, software utilities and common parts (e.g. power adapters, cutters, interface cables).
 
Their kiosk printers are heavy duty and are very suitable for integration into kiosk enclosures. All metal parts are stainless steel, and all thermal printheads are of the rugged thick-film type, which are very durable and suitable for outdoor use. The range of kiosk printers consists of A4 printers with or without  bundler, 56 mm and 80 mm receipt printers and a 56 mm label printer for weigh scales. All the kiosk printers can be used for integration purposes, however they can also be used for custom-specific modifications (OEM). For fast  turn-around of integration and customisation projects an engineering group from China (SNBC) with CAD capabilities is permanently stationed in Orient’s office in The Netherlands.
 
During the past few years Orient integration and  customising projects have been completed for banking systems, boarding pass ticketing, ATMs, parking systems, vending machines and weight scales.
