GIVe retail stores

In-store information kiosks link to GIVe's website and also provide further product informaiton when a bar code is scanned.

A new retail venture incorporates in-store kiosks as part of their multi-channel strategy.

At the beginning of October, a new fashion retail venture called GIVe was opened on London’s Regent Street by George Davies.

Other stores have also been opened in shopping centres around the UK, with a total of 8 stores launched and 16 concession partners. The new retail store GIVe is a unique fashion offer: the brand focuses on moving service and technology to the highest level for the high street customer. Each store has a tailor to alter garments to fit, and the latest store design and retail technology have been deployed to address how women shop and browse in-store.

Rather than displaying every item in every size, only one item is shown on the floor. Hidden storage behind the rails houses the stock, which staff can check the availability of using handheld terminals to scan the barcode of the product.

Interactive touch plasma screens allow access to additional information about the in-store range as well as providing a link to the store’s website. Kiosks in each of the high street stores enable shoppers to view the entire product range on the website and also browse a 24 page e-catalogue. Users can then order products directly from the site and have them delivered to the home.
GIVE Newsletter for retail kiosks

Customers can also scan a product’s barcode at the in-store kiosk and also find the stock position of a product. When a barcode is scanned, videos featuring that product are played at the kiosk.

K3, a UK provider of Microsoft Dynamics, have provided the integrated multichannel system that manages sales channels and inventory to support the retail stores, website, concession partners and call centres.

Nigel Roberts, Head of Ecommerce, Systems and Logistics at GIVe said, “We wanted to launch an online venture that would shake up the world of fashion e-tail just as the Next Directory revolutionised home shopping back in the 80s.  We wanted to have stores and an online channel that offers customers a fantastic experience at whatever point they connect with us, and in order to do so we knew we needed a robust and flexible system in place that could cope with all our plans.”

John Little, Sales Director at K3, said, “This is an exciting opportunity because it is not every day that a retailer launches in store and online at the same time.  Our joined up solutions are ideal to ensure that GIVe can give its customers a consistent experience through all channels.”
