With the new, robust NanoServer E8-GM45 from DSM Computer, two high-quality Full-HD displays – each with a maximum resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels – can be controlled fully independently of each other.
 
The slim-line computer in a solid, high-quality industrial housing, with a height of just 58mm, can be installed flexibly and compactly on the roof of a public bus for playing video films and short advertising clips. Despite its ultra-compact construction, using the integrated Intel Core 2 Duo processor with Intel GM45/ICH9M chipset with guaranteed long-term availability, the E8-GM45 provides high computing and graphic performance. The on-board GMA 4500MHD graphic controller with Intel Clear Video technology can decode high-resolution HD videos in the AVC/VC2/MPEG2 format, and thus relieve load on the processor. Because no dedicated graphic memory is present, the chipset uses a dynamic part of the 2 x 4 GB-sized main memory, dependent of the associated requirement.
 
An 18-36 VDC power pack supplies the power to the control computer. Eight USB 2.0 ports (four external, four internal), two PS/2 outputs, four serial ports, SATA, IDE, audio, VGA and DVI are provided as interfaces. In addition to 1000 Base T-Ethernet, if required, Wireless LAN is also supported. The NanoServer provides space for a 2.5” HDD or a robust Solid State Drive.
