Mini-ATMs for Indonesia
The Mini-ATMs, installed at participating retail locations, will enable the bank’s customers to complete more than 100 types of transactions, including paying bills ranging from utility, insurance and credit card bills, and purchasing goods and services, such as airline tickets and mobile phone pre-paid vouchers.
A mini-ATM puts the functionality of an ATM into a terminal, enabling the bank’s customers to complete more than 100 types of transactions. The terminal can’t dispense cash, but it can be used to pay bills, give a cash advance if located at a post office (where they hand you the cash). The mini-ATM application is written on the terminal itself and the terminal performs the functions.
“Hypercom’s state-of-the-art high security technology is the perfect choice for Permata Bank’s Mini-ATM rollout. With this initial roll out, the bank will bring an array of additional services, speed and security to its customers,” said Mr. Niki Luhur, President, Kartuku. “We applaud and fully support Permata Bank’s vision to expand bill payment services via POS terminals throughout Indonesia.”
“Permata Mini-ATM has a fairly significant role in Indonesia’s online payment solutions. This service not only supports partnerships with entrepreneurs, but small, medium, and large sized businesses as well. We envision installing Permata’s Mini-ATM across Indonesia in every type of retail outlet in residential areas, traditional markets and even roadside minimarts," said Mr. YB Hariantono, Head of Network at Permata Bank.
“Permata Bank is an influential member of Indonesia’s banking leadership and their selection of Hypercom is a terrific endorsement that speaks to our products’ competitive advantages, and strengthens our footprint in this important market,” said Jacques-Herve Maupin, Managing Director, Hypercom Asia Pacific.
