Kiosks Assist Expo Visitors

State-of-the-art touch screen information kiosks will be available for visitors at KIOSK LONDON EXPO 2011. 
 
Supplied by show sponsor Protouch Solutions Ltd, this modern suite of units will be used to enable exhibition visitors to interactively access the digital exhibition guide and conference agenda.

By interacting with the kiosks to find their way around the show and Forum, exhibition visitors will gain a personal working insight into what self-service technology can achieve. 
 
The kiosks will also assist the show organisers, HF Network Ltd, to make the event as environmentally-friendly as possible, by cutting out paper printing costs.
 
 
Protouch Solutions Ltd has recently acquired Protouch Manufacturing and will continue to offer leading digital kiosks, self service and touch screen solutions for retail, transport, education, health and the public sector, which will be strengthened by enhanced resources.

Usability Workshop @ KEX 2012

What can self-service terminals learn from the success of the iPad? The Usability Expert Workshop will explore ways of developing self-service solutions capable of inspiring the same fanatical reaction as Apple’s iconic product. On the 7th of March this year, hundreds of people were out on the streets, waiting to be amongst the first to get their hands on the latest iPad iteration. They had camped out all night with their thermoses in the freezing cold. Why are so many people willing to do this in front of every Apple store, but not for a new check-in terminal at the airport, train station, or shopping mall? What’s behind the buzz, and how can we encourage a similar reaction to self-service solutions? Through expert contributions and together with you, we will seek to answer these questions and explore future ways to get there. KIOSK EUROPE and Handspiel will present the Usability Expert Workshop as part of KIOSK EUROPE EXPO 2012, which runs from 12-13 June.
