EU self-service industry research underway

eafs

The first comprehensive market survey on the European kiosk and self-service industry will soon be underway, and will be officially launched at KIOSK LONDON EXPO 2011, by the survey creators, the EAFS (European Association for Self-Service).

Frédéric Soudain of the EAFS will detail the method and objectives of the Survey, which will be offered to its members very shortly, in a Forum presentation which will take place on both days of the Barbican-based show next week.

The survey will cover markets in the EU, Switzerland, Norway and Turkey, and will assess and project for issues including the current state of the market, EU market trends, technology and sustainability.

This ties in appropriately with another of the Forum presentations, which will be showing kiosk purchases how a new and simple device can save up to 70% in energy costs on permanently switched on appliances.

With most of the running costs after purchase of 24/7 units pertaining to energy consumption, this device is set to be a hit not only for customers but for the planet!

As well as appearing at the show on the floor and detailing the survey in the Forum programme, the EAFS will also honour this year’s industry winners with the presentation of the EAFS Awards 2011.

The Awards will be presented in three categories: Best Innovation, Best Design and Best Government Project.

The Awards will be presented on the evening of the first day of the show, 19th October, and then announced to Forum visitors on the morning of the 20th October.
