Citizen Expands Sales Regions

Citizen Systems Europe, with its headquarters in Esslingen, Germany, is a subsidiary of the Japanese Citizen Group. The company has been active in Europe, the Middle East and Africa for over nine years.
 
Until now, sales and marketing for the POS printer and calculator product ranges have been managed by the company’s office in Hamburg. In response to its continued growth, Citizen Systems Europe, a market leader in the area of POS and kiosk printers, will now be expanding the sales region that is managed from Hamburg to extend beyond Germany and Austria and include all of Western Europe by the end of the year. This move will be supported by the establishment of a central warehouse for POS and kiosk products at the main site in Esslingen in order to supply products more efficiently and increase overall flexibility.
 
All activities will now be bundled at the site in Esslingen, in order to ‘leverage synergies within the organisation’ as effectively as possible. This will enable the company to assist its experienced distributor network more effectively with respect to marketing, as well as pre- and after sales support.
 
Citizen has also announced that it will be introducing an improved range of printer models for the self-service market later this year.
