German software manufacturer blue image has now sold more than 60,000 copies of its InterCafe 2004 software, alongside other software products such as content filter and Callshop billing software, as well as its smart card solutions. Configured within more than 7,000 Internet locations throughout Germany, InterCafe is by far the most used internet cafe software in Germany.

InterCafe 2008 is the latest version of the InterCafe software. It includes many new functions for stand-alone kiosk terminals, as well as for complete internet cafe locations. As the first software of its kind, InterCafe 2008 now provides IP-telephony (VoIP) billing for customers at internet terminals through an innovative ShopPoint system. ShopPoints can also be used for sending SMS, MMS and other services through the software.

Of high interest to all users of the InterCafe 2008 software will be the new CustomerCenter function, which allows users to monitor kiosk terminals from any place in the world, wherever internet access is available. The special ‘Remote Server’ module allows users to take complete remote control of kiosk terminals or internet cafes from their office or at home.

Usability Workshop @ KEX 2012

Handspiel
What can self-service terminals learn from the success of the iPad? The Usability Expert Workshop will explore ways of developing self-service solutions capable of inspiring the same fanatical reaction as Apple’s iconic product. On the 7th of March this year, hundreds of people were out on the streets, waiting to be amongst the first to get their hands on the latest iPad iteration. They had camped out all night with their thermoses in the freezing cold. Why are so many people willing to do this in front of every Apple store, but not for a new check-in terminal at the airport, train station, or shopping mall? What’s behind the buzz, and how can we encourage a similar reaction to self-service solutions? Through expert contributions and together with you, we will seek to answer these questions and explore future ways to get there. KIOSK EUROPE and Handspiel will present the Usability Expert Workshop as part of KIOSK EUROPE EXPO 2012, which runs from 12-13 June. The Usability Workshop will take place on Wednesday, 13th June from 10:30-13:30. Numbers are limited, so secure your place now by booking online at www.kioskeurope-expo.com
